Howard Hawks Howard Winchester Hawks Director, escritor y productor de cine estadounidense Howard Hawks nació el 30 de mayo de 1896 en Goshen, Indiana (Estados Unidos). Cursó estudios de ingeniería en la Universidad de Cornell y fue piloto y diseñador aeronáutico antes de establecerse en Hollywood en el año 1922 como cineasta independiente.

He was born Howard Winchester Hawks in Goshen, Indiana, on Decoration Day, May 30, 1896, the first child of Franklin Winchester Hawks and his wife, the former Helen Brown Howard. The day of his birth the local sheriff killed a brawler at the town saloon; the young Hawks was not born on the wild side of town, though, but with the proverbial silver spoon firmly clenched in his young mouth.
