6 de dic. de 2017 · Among these artists, Quentin Tarantino himself reprised many of Bava’s intuitions from Cani Arrabbiati (“Rabid Dogs”, 1974) for his debut film, “Reservoir Dogs”. Son of the sculptor and special effects photographer Eugenio, Mario Bava started his career in the movie industry as a cinematographer, working under his father’s guidance.

2 de jul. de 2021 · Of the “Big 3” of Italian horror filmmakers—Mario Bava, Dario Argento, and Lucio Fulci—Bava seems, on the basis of my admittedly unscientific research, to be the least well known. If one were to do even a cursory perusal of those corners of the internet that care about such things, one would find ample discussion of Argento and Fulci but relatively little about Bava.

2 de sept. de 2021 · Mario Bava (1914-1980) -hijo del director de cine Eugenio Bava (1866-1966)- fue primero un gran director de fotografía y un inventivo creador de efectos especiales, antes de debutar con La máscara del demonio (1960) -disponible en Filmin- película en blanco y negro que parece rodada en color, que convirtió en estrella a la magnética Barbara Steele, de enormes y diabólicos ojos.
