Formed in 1970, Curved Air are one of the founders of progressive rock and a retrospective collection of their most influential and ground-breaking material is currently in the planning stages. Sonja Kristina (vocals) and Kirby Gregory (guitar) will treat audiences to an acoustic set featuring some of the band’s most memorable musical moments.
Curved Air's cleverly- titled first album "Airconditioning" (1970) featured "Vivaldi", one of their best-known signature songs, allowing Darryl Way to go off on an unrestrained free flight of fancy with his vivacious violin. Seemingly running out of inspiration for album titles, Curved Air's second album was simply titled "Second Album" (1971).

13 de ene. de 2021 · That summer, Curved Air were signed by Warner Brothers, famously receiving a massive cash advance, and Air Conditioning hit the stores in November 1970. The album was a truly innovative mix of the band members’ various influences of prog rock, jazz and folk, with an unusual slice of classical content and it received deserved attention, with John Peel acting as a particular champion.
