Mentioned in Despatches (2) Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 3rd Marquess of Dufferin and Ava, DSO, PC (Ire) (26 February 1875 – 21 July 1930), styled Lord Frederick Blackwood between 1888 and 1918, was a British soldier and politician. He died in an aircraft crash in 1930 at the age of 55.
Biography Irish statesman and diplomat; born Frederick Temple Blackwood, he succeeded his father as 5th Baron Dufferin and Claneboye (1841). Frederick Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, né le 21 juin 1826 à Florence et mort le 12 février 1902 à Bangor, 1 er comte de Dufferin puis 1 er marquis de Dufferin et Ava, est un homme d'État. Il est le 3 e gouverneur général du Canada de 1872 à 1878 et vice-roi des Indes de 1884 à 1888 [ 1 ] .
Familie. Frederick war das einzige Kind von Price Blackwood, 4. Baron Dufferin and Claneboye, und dessen Gemahlin Helen Selina Sheridan. 1862 änderte er nach seiner Eheschließung mit Harriet Georgiana Rowan-Hamilton (1847–1936) seinen Namen mit königlicher Erlaubnis von Blackwood in Hamilton-Blackwood, zehn Jahre später dann nochmals in Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood.
