Edward George Earle Bulwer-Lytton, primer barón Lytton (Londres, 25 de mayo de 1803-Torquay, 18 de enero de 1873), fue un poeta, novelista, dramaturgo, político y periodista británico. Lytton fue un popular escritor de su tiempo que acuñó frases como «La pluma es más fuerte que la espada» y «Perseguir al todopoderoso dólar».

He served as Governor of Bengal between 1922 and 1927 and was briefly Acting Viceroy of India in 1926.
Edward Robert Bulwer-Lytton, 1. Earl of Lytton GCB GCSI GCIE PC (* 8. November 1831 in London; † 24. November 1891 in Paris) war ein britischer Diplomat und Schriftsteller, sowie von 1876 bis 1880 Vizekönig von Indien. Er veröffentlichte Gedichte unter dem Künstlernamen „Owen Meredith“.
Sein Sohn und Erbe Robert Bulwer-Lytton, 2. Baron Lytton (1831–1891) war von 1876 bis 1880 Generalgouverneur und Vizekönig von Indien, wofür er 1880 zum Earl of Lytton ernannt wurde. Seine Tochter Emily Elizabeth Bulwer-Lytton (17. Juni 1828–29. April 1848) war kränklich und starb mit 20 Jahren an Typhus.
