Johann Gottfried Galle (Radis, 9 juin 1812 – Potsdam, 10 juillet 1910), est un astronome allemand à l’observatoire de Berlin. Fue el hijo mayor de Marie Henriette Pannier y Johann Gottfried Galle. Cursó la secundaria en Wittenberg y en 1830, ingresó en la universidad de Berlín. Fue maestro de matemáticas y física en el gymnasium de Guben y en el gymnasium Friedrichs-Werdersche de Berlín.
