Jakob Bernoulli. Jakob Bernoulli nació el 27 de diciembre de 1654 en Basilea, Suiza. Hijo de Nikolaus Bernoulli y Margaretha Schönauer. Hermano del también matemático, Johann Bernoulli y tío del científico Daniel Bernoulli. Se graduó en Teología en el año 1676 y hasta 1682 viajó por Francia, Inglaterra y los países nórdicos.
