Biographie. Pierre Restany passe son enfance à Casablanca où son père dirige la Compagnie marocaine, dans un milieu aisé et cultivé. Revenu en France en 1949, il fait une khâgne au lycée Henri-IV avant de poursuivre ses études universitaires en France, en Italie et en Irlande et d'obtenir une licence ès lettres et un diplôme d'études supérieures d'esthétique et d'histoire de l'art.
