Lucian Michael Freud OM CH [1] ( / frɔɪd /; 8 December 1922 – 20 July 2011) was a British painter and draughtsman, specialising in figurative art, and is known as one of the foremost 20th-century English portraitists. He was born in Berlin, the son of Jewish architect Ernst L. Freud and the grandson of Sigmund Freud.

Grimble is a children's book by Clement Freud, published by Collins in 1968. A sequel, Grimble at Christmas, was published some years later. The book was illustrated by Frank Francis. Freud noticed that the Communist Chinese hosts regularly gave Churchill larger, or higher status, accommodation than him. Tactfully he enquired why and was told it was because of the status of Churchill's namesake. Freud observed that this was the first time ever that he had been 'out-grandfathered'. [citation needed]
