The book — which was written in 2010 and revised in 2021 — focuses on the movie’s creation of a female archetype that transcended Hepburn herself and has little to do with the Holly Golightly described by Truman Capote in his original novel.

After winning an Academy Award for her role as the (fictional) Princess Ann, she appeared in Sabrina (1954), War and Peace (1956), The Nun’s Story (1959), and, perhaps most famously, Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961).
