The Extended Tour affords time to visit Philip Johnson’s Studio, as well as The Glass House, Brick House, Painting Gallery, Sculpture Gallery, outdoor sculpture, and Da Monsta. This tour includes a one-mile walk on paths and grass and an up-close view of the installation Shigeru Ban: The Paper Log House.
The Glass House, built between 1949 and 1995 by architect Philip Johnson, is a National Trust Historic Site located in New Canaan, Connecticut. The pastoral 49-acre landscape comprises fourteen structures, including the Glass House (1949), and features a permanent collection of 20th-century painting and sculpture, along with temporary exhibitions.

The house is 56 ft. long, 32 ft. wide, and 10.5 ft. high, with glass walls on the exterior and low walnut cabinets dividing the interior space.

He thought it would be nice to have a place in which you could swivel around and see everything all at once, including the outdoors.
