2 de may. de 2024 · Sir Archibald Douglas was the younger brother of Sir James Douglas, the staunch supporter of Robert Bruce. After Bruce's death they stood by his young son, David II. In December 1332 at Annan, Archibald Douglas routed Edward Balliol, who had claimed the Scottish throne, and in March 1333 he was appointed regent or guardian, after Sir Andrew Moray had been captured.
