Hace 5 días · The College of Arms, or Heralds' College, is a royal corporation consisting of professional officers of arms, with jurisdiction over England, Wales, Northern Ireland and some Commonwealth realms.
13 de jun. de 2024 · Gradually it came about that a king would form his heralds into a college or corporation. The king of France did so in 1407, but it was not until 1484 that the king of England followed by establishing the College of Arms (now housed for 400 years on the same site in London).

12 de jun. de 2024 · The construction of a new portico entrance with terrace and curved steps to the central block was made necessary by the lowering of the courtyard level. The porch was surmounted by the royal arms and below it were the College arms forming a keystone to the central window.
