Hace 6 días · John Digby, afterwards Earl of Bristol, was born in 1580. He was knighted in 1607. From 1611 to 1618 he spent much time at the Court of Spain, whither he had been accredited ambassador, chiefly in connection with a proposed marriage between Prince Charles and the Infanta.
