He served as Deputy Cofferer of the Royal Household from 1755 to 1760, as Master of the Robes to the Prince of Wales from 1758 to 1760, who ascended as King George III, and as Keeper of the Privy Purse from 1760-1811.

  7. Hace 3 días · Later in the 19th century, in spite of the demolition of the hall, Lady Waldegrave returned to the parish to live at Dudbrook. It was John, Earl Waldegrave who secured the inclosure of the common in 1770. The total area inclosed was 502 acres exclusive of 90 acres set aside for roads and waste. The earl's allotment was about 350 acres.
