23 de may. de 2024 · The greatest part of the nobles of Leith are desirous of peace. Lord Claud Hamilton has lodged some soldiers at Hamilton, and, by keeping away victual, causes a dearth at Glasgow; he has surprised the house of Kawdorne [Calder], made a raid about Paisley, and obtained a good booty from Lord Semple.
16 de may. de 2024 · Lord Claud Hamilton is again sick, and laments that he has so long dissembled in religion, desiring to be instructed by Robert Bruce or some other minister. It is thought that he is now grieved more "by the corosy of his conscience" than by his old infirmity.
19 de may. de 2024 · His sister Elizabeth (d. 1900) had married Lord Claud Hamilton, brother of the 1st Duke of Abercorn, and their son, Col. Douglas James Hamilton, who took the name of Proby in 1904, is now lord of the manor.
