Victor Oliver von Samek (8 July 1898 – 15 August 1964) was an Austrian-born British musician, entertainer, comedian and actor, most popular between the 1920s and 1950s. [1] Early life and musical career. He was born in Vienna into a Jewish family, the son of Baron Viktor von Samek.

Vic Oliver was born on 8 July 1898 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. He was a composer and actor, known for Give Us the Moon (1944), He Found a Star (1941) and Studio One (1948). He was married to Natalie Conder and Sarah Churchill. He died on 15 August 1964 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Towards the end of her marriage to Vic Oliver, she began an affair with the American ambassador to Britain, John Winant; it is believed the failure of the relationship contributed to the depression that led to Winant's suicide in 1947.
