Hace 5 días · The manor descended with Nether Stowey until the attainder of Edward Seymour, duke of Somerset, in 1552 when it was granted to Thomas Dannet. Thomas died in 1569 leaving a son, also Thomas, who in 1584 conveyed the manor to John Walker and his wife Elizabeth.

He had headed Margaret of Anjou's troops at the Battle of Tewkesbury, and after their defeat had tried to take sanctuary at Tewkesbury Abbey. Edward IV broke into the abbey and captured him.
