17 de jun. de 2024 · He was born into a Yorkshire family, the sixth child and fourth son of Charles Wood, 2nd Viscount Halifax (1839–1934), and Lady Agnes Elizabeth Courtenay (1838–1919). His father was President of the English Church Union, which pushed for ecumenical reunion, in 1868, 1919, and 1927–1934.

A site east of the old church, large enough for a new burial ground, was given in 1819 by Viscount Anson. (fn. 67) The building, which is of stone in a simplified late Gothic style, was designed by C. Underwood.
