In 1448–9 Somerset was herald of Edmund Beaufort, Duke of Somerset, but he must have been a royal officer in 1485, when he was the only herald to receive coronation liveries.

18 de jun. de 2024 · Henry Somerset, 5th Duke of Beaufort Abeyance terminated in his favour 1803. Peerage merged with Dukedom of Beaufort and remained so merged until the death of the 10th Duke in 1984, when the barony again fell into abeyance.
