  6. Hello, I've been doing some research about the history of early England. The line of kings we know untill the last male of the house of Wessex, Edgar Aetheling, are descending from Aelfred the Great. However, Aethelred of Wessex, Aelfred's elder brother, had two sons, Æthelhelm and Æthelwold.
