He was the last ruling duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, a state of the German Empire, from 30 July 1900 to 14 November 1918.

21 de may. de 2024 · Signature. Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (Franz August Karl Albert Emanuel; [1] 26 August 1819 – 14 December 1861) was the husband of Queen Victoria. As such, he was consort of the British monarch from their marriage on 10 February 1840 until his death in 1861. Victoria granted him the title Prince Consort in 1857.
Hace 5 días · Intense Grief. Sadly, Victoria and Albert‘s marriage met a tragic end in 1861 after 21 years. Albert fell ill with typhoid while traveling to Cambridge to deal with an embarrassing scandal – their eldest son Bertie‘s affair with an actress. The prince never recovered and died at Windsor Castle at age 42.
