The Countess, who was still alive, was technically the owner of the substantial Beauchamp estates, her father having left no male heirs.

Hace 4 días · The title to the Warwick estates then descended to Anne, Henry Beauchamp's infant daughter by his wife Cecily, daughter of Richard Neville, Earl of Salisbury, there being no surviving male heirs to inherit under the entail of 1344. Queen Margaret and later William de la Pole were granted her wardship; she died at the age of five in 1449.

  6. 23 de may. de 2024 · The oldest monument in the church is that in memory of Thomas Beauchamp I, Earl of Warwick (d. 1369). It is in the choir and is of alabaster, but it was much damaged in the fire of 1694 and was extensively repaired in plaster. The earl lies with the Countess of Warwick on his right.
