In 1328, he obtained a reversal of his father's attainder and inherited his barony.

In Jun 1317, the King granted him the manors of Gravesend in Kent and Kingsbury in Somerset, and on 26 Sep he had a grant of free warren in Saxlingham, Norfolk, and other of his manors.
