Hace 1 día · South of the Binnenhof is the Buitenhof, a centre of the town’s activities and the site of several hotels and restaurants. The original entrance to it was the Gevangenpoort (Prisoner’s Gate), a tower and gate built about 1400. It is now a museum dedicated to the history of punishment and torture in the Netherlands.

For ages, the Binnenhof structure has served as the country’s political nerve center, and it still does today.

13 de may. de 2024 · Uitkijktoren Binnenhof schiet de lucht in. Veel gaat langzaam bij de renovatie van het Binnenhof, maar de bouw van de uitkijktoren niet. Die staat er opeens. Eind april begon de bouw van het 28 meter hoge gevaarte, dat exact op de plaats staat van het tijdelijk verwijderde ruiterstandbeeld van Koning Willem II.
