After Butterfield had name-checked Fox in The Whig Interpretation , G. M. Trevelyan ‘decided to make Butterfield put his money where his mouth had been’ (p. 105).
28 de may. de 2024 · On the death of his uncle, Charles James Fox, Lord Holland was introduced into the Cabinet as Lord Privy Seal; but the strength of the Whig portion of the Government had then departed, and the only measure worthy of notice in which his lordship co-operated after his accession to office was the Bill for the Abolition of the Slave Trade.
