Hace 3 días · He was born into a Yorkshire family, the sixth child and fourth son of Charles Wood, 2nd Viscount Halifax (1839–1934), and Lady Agnes Elizabeth Courtenay (1838–1919). His father was President of the English Church Union , which pushed for ecumenical reunion, in 1868, 1919, and 1927–1934.
