17 de may. de 2024 · The latter tiara was later left to Mary’s aunt, Augusta, Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, who left it to her granddaughter, Duchess Jutta of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. This tiara was sold at auction in 1981 to Georg and Marie Gabrielle von Waldburg zu Zeil.
Born on 19 May 1744, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz was the youngest daughter of Duke Charles Louis Frederick of Mecklenburg, styled as the Prince of Mirow, and Princess Elisabeth Albertine of Saxe-Hildburghausen. The family ruled over Mecklenburg-Strelitz, a small north-German duchy situated in what was then the Holy Roman Empire.

13 de may. de 2024 · Mecklenburg-Strelitz signed off to join the confederation on 18 February and Mecklenburg-Schwerin joined a month later on 22 March. Strelitz was mandated to provide a 400 man contingent meanwhile Schwerin 1900 men for its contingent to the Confederation, pressuring the two states to rapidly expand their armies to meet the quota.
2 de may. de 2024 · As Duke (Hereditary Prince) Georg Alexander Michael zu Mecklenburg (-Strelitz) and Hande Macit are living in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, I had already planned to go to their civil wedding in Rotterdam in June. But for reasons important to them the couple decided last minute to marry on 17 June 2022 at Mirow Castle, Germany, instead.
