1 de jul. de 2024 · En el 601 se bautizó el primer rey anglosajón, Etelberto I de Kent, quien le siguió fue el rey Cynegils de Wessex; y en el 655 murió el último rey pagano, Penda de Mercia. De esta forma los reinos anglosajones entraron en cohesión con el resto de la Europa cristiana.
