Hace 5 días · The same year, Princess Elizabeth, who was 48, accepted the proposal of Prince Frederick of Hesse-Homburg, and married him. She went with him to Homburg and in due course became it's Landgravine. The marriage was happy, though of course childless.
16 de jun. de 2024 · At Christmas 1853, when Franz Joseph came to München to celebrate with her family, Elisabeth gave her fiancé a wondeful portrait of herself on horseback near the Starnberger See. Elisabeth, the landscape and Possenhofen Castle were painted by Carl Theodor von Piloty and the horse by Franz Adam.
16 de jun. de 2024 · Nikolaus Habsburg-Lothringen – for royalists Archduke of Austria – married his childhood friend Sandra Aschauer at the St.-Nikolaus-Kirche in Bad Ischl, Austria, on 4 May 2024. The party afterwards – with around 150 guests – took place at the Kaiservilla in Bad Ischl.
