Hace 3 días · Under his will Hamilton was succeeded by his eldest daughter Anne (d. 1756), styled countess of Orkney. In 1753 she and her husband William O'Brien (d. 1777), 4th earl of Inchiquin, settled their Broadwell lands on their only surviving daughter Mary (d. 1790), a deaf mute who in 1756 became countess of Orkney.
