The bodies were taken to the Koptyaki forest, where they were stripped, mutilated with grenades to prevent identification, and buried.
For the icon of the New Martyr Eugene Botkin, the Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2016 blessed the name Physician, because it shows his ministry. There are other peculiarities of naming saints in the Church, but this is a separate rather large topic.
