8 de may. de 2024 · Francis Seymour-Conway, first marquess of Hertford (1718-1794) and older brother of Henry Seymour Conway, was a courtier and politician. He became a lord of the bedchamber in 1757 and was sworn to the privy council in 1763.

His descendant, the Marquess of Hertford, is the present lord of the manor. 24 de may. de 2024 · After her death in 1748 it was probably sold, Sir John Mordaunt appearing as lord in 1779 and Francis Seymour Conway, Marquess of Hertford, between 1787 and 1824, after which date it has not been traced.
23 de may. de 2024 · The park appears to have been enjoyed by the citizens from that date to 1787, when the Prince of Wales granted a 31-year lease to Francis Seymour-Conway, styled Viscount Beauchamp, later Marquess of Hertford (d. 1822), who was thus able to gratify a personal feud with the inhabitants.
