Hace 18 horas · I even called the same players. NOPE. Hal was totally original. It was his presence in the room more than anything he said. Hal was a true nexus, people and paths and music and time all met wherever he was and those relationships continued and branched out. Hal was kind, thoughtful, aggravating, and almost always right.

The show played at the Sydney Festival in January 2007 and in Europe during June and July 2007. The album version of the concert, entitled Berlin: Live at St. Ann's Warehouse, and a live film recording of these concerts were both released in 2008.

13 de may. de 2024 · David Sanborn, RIP. Didn't realize he was 78. He was a talented guy and always seemed young. David Sanborn on sax, Terry Adams on piano, playing Hobbies by NRBQ. He was seated the whole time when he played in the Jazz Tent in 2022, which is never a good sign for a saxophonist. He did a great job hosting Hal Willner’s “Night Music” show.
