22 de may. de 2024 · Hampden's son and heir, Henry Robert Brand (d. 1906), had sold Carlton Grange farm, comprising the north-western half of the parish by 1904 to A. C. Hall, with whose Six Mile Bottom estate it passed thereafter.
Hace 3 días · Hon. H.R. Brand(L.U.) 4,965. The Hon. Henry Robert Brand was M.P. for Herts 1868–74, and for Stroud in 1874 and 1880–6, and was Surveyor General of the Ordnance 1883–5. He succeeded his father (who was Speaker of the House of Commons 1872–84) as second Viscount Hampden in 1893, and has been Governor of New South Wales since 1895.

The subsoil is chalk, (fn. 1) and the surface clay and gravel. The inhabitants are chiefly occupied in farming, 1,128¼ acres being arable land and 470¼ permanent pasture.
