22 de may. de 2024 · Hugh le Despenser the elder held Bedhampton in 1316 by enfeoffment from John son of Reginald and Joan in 1305. Upon his attainder and forfeiture in 1326 the manor passed to Edmund earl of Arundel, who held it for a short time before his attainder at the end of the year 1326.
Hace 5 días · In 1423 the manor was settled on him and his second wife Isabel le Despenser Countess of Worcester. He died in April 1439, and on the death of Isabel in the following December Elmley Castle passed to their son Henry, aged fifteen years.
