Out of love for the Electorate of the Palatinate Kunigunde Kirchner, he is said to have saved Neustadt from destruction in 1689. For this she is celebrated and revered as the savior of Neustadt.

Aus Liebe zu der Kurpfälzerin Kunigunde Kirchner soll er Neustadt im Jahre 1689 vor der Zerstörung bewahrt haben. Hierfür wird sie als Retterin von Neustadt gefeiert und verehrt. Soweit die Legende!

B. zur Gerichtsordnung, Erbangelegenheiten, Wehrpflicht, Steuern usw.) aus denen sich kleine Stadtrechte entwickeln. Von seinen Nachfolgern werden diese Vorrechte wiederholt bestätigt. Die spätere Stadt Werth hat hier ihren Ursprung.
