Hace 1 día · His son John George Lambton first Earl of Durham built the house called Dinsdale Park as a hunting residence about 1825 and died in 1840. He was succeeded by George, second Earl of Durham, who about 1844 sold it to Henry George Surtees, Sheriff of Durham in 1862.

The seat extends as far west as Waterhouses and as far east as Ludworth.
