I bought the Criterion Collection Blu-ray of Kiss Me Deadly and loved it, so I decided to read Mickey Spillane’s book. Great pulp fiction, might be the best Spillane book I’ve read. The fact that he went from selling over 200 million books and being the second highest-selling mystery writer behind Agatha Christie to being nearly forgotten today is insane.
