Hace 2 días · Filarete was probably a pupil of Lorenzo Ghiberti during the casting of the North door of the Florentine Baptistery. In 1433, he travelled to Rome , where Pope Eugene IV commissioned him to create the Filarete door in St. Peter's Basilica , on which he worked until 1445.
