19 de may. de 2024 · Sir Nicholas died in 1417, and after the death of his wife the manor became the right of the Countess of Somerset, passing to her grand-daughter and heir Margaret Beaufort, Countess of Richmond, mother of Henry VII, who married as her third husband, in 1482, Thomas Lord Stanley, afterwards Earl of Derby, upon whom she settled the manor.
