28 de may. de 2024 · Archduchess Maria Anna of Austria was a member of the European House of Habsburg. She called herself Mariana after her October 1649 marriage to her biological uncle, widower King Felipe IV of Spain, III of Portugal. She was 14 years old and he was 30 years her senior.

28 de may. de 2024 · Mariana of Austria (1634-1696) was the daughter of the Emperor Ferdinand III and María of Austria, Queen of Hungary. It was intended that she marry her cousin, Prince Baltasar Carlos, but following his death she married Philip IV in 1649. Velázquez executed this portrait after his return from Italy.
28 de may. de 2024 · When the painting was created, King Philip was married to his second wife, Mariana of Austria, and Margarita Teresa (the girl at the center of the painting) was their first and only daughter. The painting, commissioned by King Philip, was hung in the private office of his summer palace.
21 de may. de 2024 · La joven Mariana Pineda fue condenada a muerte y ejecutada en Granada el 26 de mayo de 1831 por no querer delatar a sus compañeros liberales que luchaban contra el gobierno absolutista de Fernando VII. Tras su ejecución, Mariana se convertiría en una mártir por la libertad.
