28 de jun. de 2024 · Mihrimah Sultan was the most powerful princess of the Ottoman dynasty. Not surprisingly, her father was Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent, and her mom was the above-mentioned Hürrem Sultan. Her brother was the less-than-impressive Sultan Selim II.

Mihrimah, who was the wealthiest woman in the empire at that time and a respected figure, did still hold a degree of power in her nephew's reign. In fact, there's actually an account of her working alongside Nurbanu and Ismihan on a political matter at that time.
