The meaning of 'Moneyball' has evolved to have a few different meanings. So I think there are a few ways you can tackle this. The origins of it simply meant using data and statistical analysis to identify players who were undervalued by the market - allowing a team on a shoe string budget the opportunity to sign/trade for them.
