28 de may. de 2024 · Iziaslav II Mstislavich (Ukrainian: Ізяслав Мстиславич, Russian: Изяслав II Мстиславич; c. 1096 [1] – 13 November 1154), was the oldest son of Mstislav Vladimirovich, (Prince of Novgorod), and Christina Ingesdotter of Sweden. He was baptized as Panteleimon.

However, Bilhorod Kyivskyi's fortunes would ebb and flow with the tides of history, as did Kievan Rus’ itself. In the mid-1200s, the city was made the capital by Rurik Rostislavich, the Grand Prince of Kiev.

24 de may. de 2024 · These princes—including Mstislav III of Kiev, Mstislav of Galich, and Yuri II of Vladimir—Suzdal-raised an army of 30,000 men in alliance with the Cumans and, by advancing on three separate fronts, attempted to encircle the Mongol force on the banks of the River Dnieper.
While the Rus army, defeated the Mongol rearguard at first, they were drawn into a false retreat to the banks of the Kalka River, where they were encircled and attacked. While Mstislav III of Kiev was captured and executed, Mstislav the Bold escaped.

Vladimir was the son of Grand Prince Vsevolod I Yaroslavich (ruled Kiev 1078–93) and Irina, the daughter of the Byzantine emperor Constantine IX Monomachus.
