16 de jun. de 2024 · New Riders of the Purple Sage was an American country rock band. The group emerged from the psychedelic rock scene in San Francisco, California in 1969. The band's mainstays were David Nelson, John Dawson, and Jerry Garcia, and many future members of Grateful Dead rotated through.
Saw NRPS many times. My favorite was 3/18/73. Billed as NRPS and friends at felt forum.Rambling Jack Eliott opened.Donna helped on encore. Of course Bob and Jerry were the friends.along with Kieth .Dead were off that night they were playing Nassau at the time.
