Presumably it was the English parliamentarian Job Throckmorton, a nephew of the diplomat Nicholas Throckmorton and thus a cousin of Elizabeth Throckmorton, Walter Raleigh’s wife, and the Welsh preacher John Penry. 1

The only surviving legitimate child of James V of Scotland, Mary was six days old when her father died and she inherited the throne.

Sir Arthur, who died in 1626, had four daughters, of whom the second, Ann, married Sir Peter Temple of Stowe.
