  1. 16 de may. de 2024 · Peterborough, city, seat of Peterborough county, southeastern Ontario, Canada. It lies on the Otonabee River, 70 miles (115 km) east-northeast of Toronto. In 1821 a sawmill and gristmill were founded at the site. The town was named for Peter Robinson, who led almost 2,000 Irish immigrants there in 1825.
