Thrashcore (also known as fastcore) is a subgenre of hardcore punk that emerged in the early 1980s. It is essentially sped-up hardcore punk, with bands often using blast beats.

I saw Weekend Nachos yesterday, and for all the other bands, people were as still as a stone. Even during Nachos, people weren't really moving. They only started to throw down once they started playing those sludgy chug riffs. What I want to know is: people who are hardcore into Powerviolence, what are the shows like? Do you guys just stand around?

Powerviolence is a dead art and is nowhere nearly as popular as it was 10 years ago, the good news is the U.K. has by a long mile the biggest and most active hardcore scene in Europe, some bands that can be classed as powerviolence play hardcore bills usually.

Vengeance Of Eternal Fire is a filthy and primal slab of extreme metal that nicely manages to be groovy, catchy, engaging and, dare I say, fun from start to finish.
