Hace 2 días · Cast in bronze, the statue was commissioned by the Sir Winston Churchill Society of Calgary in 2020 after a competition for the project among three Canadian sculptors. The statue was created by the winning sculptor, Danek Mozdzenski from Edmonton. Danek sculpted the 8’ 6” statue after poring over thousands of photographs of the wartime leader.
